In a large bowl, mix 2 tea cups of the flour with the yeast and set aside. Heat the milk together with 1/2 cup of butter and 1/4 cup of sugar and salt. After warming to about 40 degrees, add to the flour and add one egg. Stir and add the remaining flour in portions.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 3 minutes until you get a soft and elastic dough. Form it into a ball and put it in a greased bowl, turn it once and cover it with foil. Leave it warm to double - about 2 hours.
When the dough has risen with a fist, press it down. Place the dough on a floured surface and cover with a towel. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes on the hob. Grease a small rectangular cake tin with butter.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle and grease it with butter.
Sprinkle generously with a mixture of cocoa and sugar. Sprinkle with chocolate drops and roll lengthwise.
Cut in the middle and entangle the two parts.
Put in the prepared pan, cover with a towel and leave to rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and beat 1 egg with the cream in a bowl. Spread the resulting mixture on the bread and bake for about 70-75 minutes until done. During baking, cover the bread with foil for the last 30 minutes to prevent toasting.
Wait for the finished bread to cool slightly, then remove from the pan. Cool completely on a wire rack, then cut and serve.
