Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 800 grams of flour
  • 1 tablespoon fast-acting yeast
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 400 milliliters of warm milk
  • 1/4 tea cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons salt

For caramel:

  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 50 grams of melted butter
  • 1/3 tea cup nuts
  • 1/3 tea cup candied fruit
  •

Method of preparation :

The dough

Add the milk, sugar and vanilla extract to the melted butter, stir.

Pour the yeast and salt into the flour, then pour the liquid mixture.

Knead the dough, it will stick a little on your hands. Cover it with a towel and leave in a warm place for two hours until it doubles in volume.

Grease the bottom of a baking dish with oil and cover it with nuts and candied fruit.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. In a bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar.

Roll out the dough, cut it into squares, which you shape into balls (slightly larger than a walnut).

Dip them in the melted butter, roll in the mixture of sugar and cinnamon and fill the form with them.

Leave for 30-40 minutes, the dough will rise once more. Then place in the preheated oven. If you think the top will burn, you can cover with aluminum foil.

Bake the sweet bread for 40 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, wait 5-10 minutes and then turn the form over on a tray or other suitable dish.

Serve hot, but cold is delicious.

Enjoy your meal!
