Required products :

for yeast:

  • 3/4 cup glass of slightly warm water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon flour

for the dough:

  • 3/4 tea cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 2 broken eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 teaspoons flour
  • egg for spreading
  • white sugar sprinkle for decoration

for the filling:

  • 2/3 tea cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 tea cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tea cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon cream

Method of preparation :

Put the yeast products in a bowl and leave for 10-15 minutes to activate the yeast.

Pour the yoghurt, butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla into the yeast. Add 4 1/2 tea cups of flour and knead a crumbly dough. Continue to knead it until it becomes soft and elastic. During the process, add more flour in portions if necessary.

Put the dough in a greased bowl and cover with foil, leave to rise in the heat for 60-90 minutes until doubled.

Meanwhile, prepare the cream by combining all the ingredients except the lemon cream.

Carefully divide the dough into two equal parts, leave one covered and roll the other into a rectangle measuring 10 by 15 centimeters and roll out on baking paper (this will make it easy for you to transfer the roll to a tray later).

Divide the rectangle mentally into three equal parts lengthwise.

Spread the middle with half of the cream cheese, and spread half of the lemon on top, leaving 2 cm from the edges of the dough without filling.

Cut the ends of the dough into strips about 3 cm thick and weave them over the filling, alternating each side.

Prepare a second roll in the same way.

Leave to rise for about 45-50 minutes.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 185 degrees.

Spread the rolls with beaten egg (add a spoonful of water and a pinch of salt) and sprinkle with sugar garnish.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until the rolls are golden.

Cool before cutting and serving.
