Necessary products

For the glaze:

  • 50 grams of dark chocolate
  • 40 milliliters of high-fat liquid cream

For syrup:

  • 100 milliliters of orange juice
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange liqueur

For the dough:

  • 225 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 grams of flour
  • baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange peel
  • 2 tablespoons hot water


Method of preparation :

Beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy, add the eggs one by one and beat well after each one. Pour the sifted flour with the baking powder into the mixture. Mix and divide the dough into two parts.

In one add the orange juice and peel (intended for the dough), and in the second - cocoa and hot water.

Grease a cake pan with butter, sprinkle it with flour and successively put the dark and light parts of the dough. With a wooden skewer, make circles in the mixture to get a marble effect.

Bake the cake at 180 degrees for about 35-40 minutes (until dry).

Boil syrup from orange juice and sugar. When you remove it from the heat, pour the liqueur and wait for the liquid to cool. Then remove the already baked cake from the form, pierce it with a skewer or fork and syrup with the fragrant sweetness.

Make a glaze by warming the cream and melting the chocolate in it. Cover the cake with it and serve with a decoration of orange pieces.
