Required products :

  • 2 oranges
  • 5 eggs
  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 300 milliliters of oil
  • 400 grams of semolina
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 vanilla

 

For syrup:

500 milliliters of water

300 grams of sugar

cinnamon stick

cloves

 

Method of preparation :

Wash the oranges and cook them for 20-30 minutes. Then cut them, clean the seeds and grind them with a blender. Beat the eggs together with the sugar with a whisk, add the remaining products and put the oranges at the end.

Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and spread the dough. Bake for about 30 minutes at 170 degrees (still judge by your oven, the dessert should turn red).

Boil syrup from water, sugar and spices (boil for about 5 - 10 minutes). You can replace some of the water with the one in which you boiled the oranges - this will make a more fragrant syrup.

Cut the finished cake into squares, pour the syrup and leave for half an hour to soak well.
