How To Cook Tart With Caramelized Onions On Puff Pastry - Recipe

Required products :

  • 55 grams of butter
  • 1 kg of red onion, cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 100 milliliters of white wine
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped thyme
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • a handful of nuts

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to 220 degrees.

Grease four 10 cm pans with oil.

Cut the onion and fry it in the remaining oil until soft (it should not turn brown). Add the wine, vinegar, thyme and wait for the liquid to evaporate. Season with salt and pepper. Distribute the mixture in 4 trays.

Divide the dough into three parts and sprinkle each with walnuts. Place on top of each other and roll out on a thin sheet. Cut 4 circles the size of the tray.

Place one loaf on top of the onion, pierce with a fork and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven.

Turn the tart over and serve warm.
