Small and tasty casserole served in individual bowls - sounds delicious, right? In less than an hour you will have an appetizing dinner, and everyone will be delighted by their own bowl. Learn how to make tomato casserole with meatballs.

Required products :

for beef meatballs:

  • 500 grams of minced beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • left

for the casserole:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 large can of tomatoes (800 grams)
  • 3 teaspoons beef broth
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 3 tea cups grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 slices of baguette
  • left
  • pepper

Method of preparation :

Put the minced meat in a bowl, add the breadcrumbs, parsley and red pepper flakes, crush a clove of garlic. Mix all ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Form small meatballs and transfer them to a tray that you have previously covered with baking paper.

Bake the meatballs for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.

Finely chop the onion and fry it in a pan along with the fat. Once it becomes transparent, add the crushed garlic clove, stir for 1 minute. Add the tomato paste and mix well, pour the tomato sauce, beef broth and milk. Combine all products.

Add the baked meatballs to the tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Add the mozzarella and parmesan and season with oregano, salt and pepper.

Prepare small individual cooking utensils (you can use pots). Distribute the tomato sauce with the meatballs in each bowl. Place a slice of baguette on top, sprinkle with a little mozzarella and return for 4-5 minutes until the cheese is browned and forms bubbles on its surface. 

Serve immediately!
