Required products :

  • 1.5 kg of tomatoes - different colors
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 thin slices of bacon
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated cheddar
  • 1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg
  • basil for sprinkling
  • pie dough

Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to 200 degrees.

Cut the tomatoes into slices about 1 cm thick.

Save 5-6 slices of them, and arrange the rest in a tray with a grid. Add salt and cover with kitchen paper to dry.

Bake them for about 40-45 minutes, cool completely.

Meanwhile, fry the bacon (finely chopped) for about 4-5 minutes. Add the onion and wait for it to caramelize, for 6-7 minutes. Add the garlic and stir, and finally season. Remove on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat from the bacon. Cool for 20 minutes.

Stir in the mayonnaise, cheddar, basil, chives, egg and mustard, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix with the cooled bacon.

Put the pie marshmallows in a pan and shape. Place a sheet of baking paper and various grains on top. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the bean leaves and bake for another 10 minutes.

Spread 1/3 of the stuffing on the marsh and cover with the roasted tomatoes, put the stuffing, tomatoes and the rest of the stuffing again. Finally, arrange the fresh tomato slices. Cover the marshmallows, which are visible as an edge around the tomatoes, with foil so that they do not burn during baking.

Bake the pie for 45 minutes and cool completely before cutting.
