Required products :
3 kg tomatoes
1-2 onions
3 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon vinegar
black pepper to taste
1-2 bay leaves
frying oil
Method of preparation :
Peel an onion, chop finely and fry until transparent.
Cut the tomatoes in half, place them in a suitable bowl and add the onions. Pour 1/2 tea cup of water and place the pot on the stove. When the mixture boils, reduce the heat, put 1-2 bay leaves and let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes.
Then pass through a sieve and return the resulting puree back to the pan. Add the vinegar, simmer for a few minutes and then season with salt and sugar.
Divide the puree into jars, close them, wrap in a cloth and turn upside down overnight.
