How To Cook Veal Kugn Pao (Chinese Veal With Rice) - Recipe

Required products :

  • 160 grams of basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dark soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 35 grams of peanuts
  • 250 grams of beef, cut into pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2.5 cm ginger root, cut into small sticks
  • 3 green onion stalks, cut diagonally
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 teaspoon ground hot peppers

Method of preparation :

Boil rice according to the recipe written on the package. Cover it with a lid and set aside while you prepare the other products.

Mix rice vinegar with both types of wine soy sauce, 2 tablespoons water and corn flour, you should get a nipple.

Heat the fat in a wok and fry the nuts in it for 30-40 seconds, transfer them with a slotted spoon to a plate.

Put the meat in the pan and fry it on high heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add garlic, ginger, 2/3 of onion and fry for another 3 minutes or until done. Add pepper and hot pepper. After 30 seconds, pour the sauce and stir, fry for another 1-2 minutes.

Finally add the remaining onion, stir and remove from the heat.

Serve on a bed of basmati rice.
