Required products :
1 small carrot
1/2 onion
250 grams beef
1 tablespoon oil (for frying) a
handful of small mushrooms
1 medium potato
100 grams sour cream (or kefir)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon a mixture of favorite suitable spices
1 teaspoon butter
dill or parsley to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation :
Finely chop the carrots and onions, fry them until soft in a spoonful of oil.
Put a piece of butter on the bottom of the prepared casserole, and on it - the fried vegetables and mushrooms (whole). Then in the same pan put the cut meat into small pieces, increase the temperature of the stove to the maximum and fry the beef for about 2 minutes until a light crust forms on its surface.
Peel a potato, cut it into large cubes, pour into the pan with the meat, which you have already removed from the heat. Stir.
Make the sauce.
Mix the cream with the spices and mayonnaise.
Put the meat and potatoes in the casserole with the vegetables, pour the sauce over everything.
Cover with foil, which you pierce with a toothpick in several places.
Place in a preheated 180 degree oven and let the dish cook for an hour.
Then remove the casserole and transfer its contents to a suitable wide container. Add the chopped parsley or dill and separate 3 tablespoons of the sauce.
Return the dish to the oven for another 30 minutes, and add the garlic powder and a little chopped fresh parsley to the sauce.
When the veal with vegetables is ready, add the aromatic sauce to it and serve.
