How To Cook Vegan Cashew Cheese With Wheat Germ Sourdough - Recipe

Required products :

 

About the yeast:

  • 100 grams of wheat germ
  • 400 milliliters of pure filtered water

 

Put the wheat germ in a jar, pour the water and leave in a warm place for 24 - 28 hours. Very small bubbles will form. The mixture should become pungent, but without a repulsive odor.

 

For the cheese:

  • about 250 grams of porridge
  • about 100 milliliters of yeast
  • spices and herbs of your choice and taste

 

Method of preparation :

Fill the cashews with plain water and leave overnight. In the morning, drain the water that the nuts have not absorbed, and pour the latter into the bowl of a blender. Add the yeast and beat until a homogeneous pasty mixture is obtained. Add spices and herbs to your taste, the quantities are also optional.

Take a suitable strainer, cover with gauze and pour into it the resulting aromatic paste. Leave it in a warm place for 24 hours, after which you can give the desired shape to the cheese.

Sprinkle with paprika and refrigerate for a while.

Serve with whole grain bread.
