How To Cook Vegan Cashew Dip With Hot Peppers And Turmeric - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Vegan cashew dip with hot peppers and turmeric". Delicious recipe.

Dips are usually made with mayonnaise or yogurt, which are far from suitable for vegans. However, even if you have excluded animal products from your menu, there is no problem to prepare a similar dip to enrich the chips while watching your favorite movie. In this case we offer you a cashew dip and hot peppers. These peppers have a very light spiciness and are very pleasant. If you can't find them, you can replace them with an ordinary pepper and add a small hot pepper.

Required products :

  • 2 large peppers (large hot peppers), cut and cleaned of seeds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon porridge
  • 2 teaspoons hot red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup food yeast
  • tortilla chips per serving

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven on high heat and bake the peppers with the cut side down for about 3-5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and cover with a lid, leave for 5 minutes. Using kitchen paper, peel the peppers and cut them into small pieces.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic for one minute. Remove from the heat and add the cashews, salt and pepper. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of water and return to the stove to boil the liquid. Reduce heat and cook on low for about 10-12 minutes.

Transfer to a blender and add the nutritional yeast along with 1/2 cup of water. Puree.

Return to the pan and continue to cook until the sauce thickens for about 6-8 minutes. Add all the peppers except 2 tablespoons of them.

Serve dip, and on top put the set aside peppers and a little coriander or parsley for freshness. Serve with tortilla chips.
