How To Cook Vegan Cashew Sauce With Edible Yeast, Onion And Tamari Sauce - Recipe

Required products :

  • 3 cups raw porridge
  • 3 glasses of water (or as needed)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (optional)
  • water (optional)
  • 3/4 cup food yeast
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon tamari sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch of hot pepper (or to taste)

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation :

Put the cashews in a bowl, cover with water, close with a lid and leave overnight or 12 hours. Then strain the nuts and blend them to a smooth consistency with 1/4 cup lemon juice and enough water. Add the edible yeast, onion, sunflower oil, salt, garlic, tamari sauce, turmeric and hot red pepper and blend again until smooth.

Serve vegan sauce with potato chips, rice or roasted vegetables.
