Learn how to cook "Vegan spicy sauce with almond milk and cashews". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1 hot pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 teaspoon raw porridge
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoons edible yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon green pepper, cut into circles

Method of preparation :

Roast the hot peppers over an open fire for 4-5 minutes until charred. Another option is to grease it with olive oil and bake it in a preheated oven on the top row, turning from time to time until it turns black (about 10 minutes). Then put in a bowl and close with a lid, let stand until cool, then cut it into small pieces (remove seeds).

Put the cashews in a bowl of water and leave for 4 hours or overnight, then strain it and blend with the almond milk until smooth. Set aside 1/4 cup of the cashew milk in a small glass. Pour the flour into the blender to the rest of the mixture and beat until smooth. Mix the remaining cashew milk and flour mixture in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring often.

After boiling, stir continuously for 1 minute and add the chopped hot pepper, nutritional yeast, salt, garlic powder, cumin and hot red pepper. Divide the mixture into bowls, leave to cool and serve, garnished with chopped red pepper, green hot pepper, sea salt, garlic powder, cumin and hot red pepper. The sauce is a suitable addition to tortillas, chips or toasted baguettes.

Enjoy your meal!
