How To Cook Vegetable Casserole With Milk, Eggs And Cheese - Recipe

Required products :

  • 10 proteins
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili sauce / optional /
  • 450 grams of cottage cheese
  • 1 cup grated yellow cheese
  • 1 teaspoon grated cheese
  • 1/3 tea cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 head of yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large zucchini, cut into cubes
  • 230 grams of mushrooms, cut into quarters
  • 1 1/2 tea cups asparagus, cut into 5 cm pieces
  • 1 tomato, cleaned of seeds and cut into thin slices

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and grease a baking dish of the appropriate size.
  • In a large bowl, beat the egg whites and whole eggs until fluffy.
  • Add the cottage cheese, 3/4 of the grated yellow cheese, 3/4 of the shredded cheese, the milk, the flour, the baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, parsley, thyme, black pepper and chili sauce. Stir.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, saute onions, zucchini, asparagus and mushrooms for 5 minutes, stirring often. Season with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Add the vegetables to the mixture with the eggs and cheese and mix well.
  • Pour into the prepared pan, lightly flatten with the back of a spoon and sprinkle with the remaining cheese and yellow cheese.
  • Spread the tomato slices on top and bake for 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 45-50 minutes.
  • Allow the vegetable casserole to cool briefly before slicing and serving.
