How To Cook Vegetable Pie With Mushrooms, Ham And Cheese Topping - Recipe

Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 200 grams of flour (a little more may be needed)
  • 100 grams of butter at room temperature
  • 50 grams of potato starch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg

For the stuffing:

  • 200 grams of ham
  • 400 grams of canned corn
  • 300 grams of canned peas
  • 250 grams of boiled or canned mushrooms

For topping:

  • 130 grams of yellow cheese or other hard cheese
  • 200 milliliters of liquid cream with 20% fat
  • 4 eggs

 

Method of preparation :

Pour the flour into a large bowl, add salt and stir.

 

Then put the diced butter and grind with your hands to get crumbs.

 

 

Beat the egg in them and make a shortcrust pastry. If necessary, pour 1-2 tablespoons of ice water. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.

Meanwhile, make the pie filling. Drain the liquid from both cans (corn and peas).

 

Mushrooms (pre-cooked or use canned, whose marinade drain) cut into large pieces (leave a few pieces for decoration). Cut the ham into small cubes, grate the yellow cheese coarsely.

 

Cover the bottom and walls of a detachable form with a diameter of 26 cm with parchment. Roll out the dough and put it in the bowl, as it should cover part of its walls.

 

Mix the corn kernels and peas, add the ham and 1/3 of the grated yellow cheese.

 

Spread this combination on the dough.

 

Beat the eggs, add the cream and the remaining yellow cheese.

  

Cover the filling with the filling and arrange the reserved mushroom pieces on the surface.

 

Bake the pie in a preheated 175 degree oven until done. The approximate time is 45 minutes to an hour.

 

Submit it warm.
