Required products :

  • 2.5 liters water or broth
  • 1 large sweet pepper
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 medium onion head
  • 5 medium potatoes
  • 100 grams of Dutch cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 70 grams of butter
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • salt, parsley, pepper and other spices to taste

Method of preparation :

Grate the cheese coarsely, mix it with the butter at room temperature, add the flour, egg and spices.

Mix everything well and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Grate carrots, cut peppers into straws, onions - into small cubes, potatoes - into large cubes.

Heat the oil in a pan, fry the onion in it until it acquires a light golden color.

Add the carrots and fry for another 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.

Then put the pepper, 5 minutes later turn off the stove, season with salt and pepper, stir.

Put the diced potatoes and fried vegetables in the boiling broth. Bring the liquid to a boil, reduce the temperature and let the soup cook for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, take the cheese dough out of the fridge and form hazelnut-sized balls. Don't make them bigger because they will increase in size.

Put them in the soup, stir and let everything boil for 10-15 minutes. If necessary, season further.

The dish is ready to serve.
