Beef is specific: it takes longer to cook than chicken and requires more seriousness, but the result is always impressive.

Necessary products:

  • 600 grams of beef
  • 2 sweet peppers
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 medium onions or 1 large
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 hot pepper
  • 300 grams of tomatoes (canned)
  • Bay leaf
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation:

Cut the beef into several pieces across the fibers and boil it. Add the chopped carrots and half the onion, bay leaf and 1 tsp salt. Increase the heat and when everything boils, reduce the temperature and simmer for 1.5 hours under a lid.

When the meat is cooked, turn off the stove, but leave the pan on it for another 30 minutes. Then remove the meat from the broth, wait for it to cool and chop it with your hands (into strands).

Cut the remaining onions into semicircles, chop the peppers into thin strips and fry them for about 10 minutes in vegetable oil. When the vegetables soften, add garlic (chopped or grated), hot pepper, salt to taste. Fry for about a minute, stirring constantly. It's time for the tomatoes: put them together with their juice and stew for 5 minutes. Add 350 ml of the broth in which you cooked the beef and the meat itself. Stew everything for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Garnish with parsley and lettuce before serving.

Enjoy!
