How To Cook Waffles With Dark Chocolate And Brown Sugar - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 tea cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs, with separated egg yolks
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 170 grams of dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • lubricating oil

For garnish :

  • liquid honey
  • melted butter

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir.
  • Make a well in the middle and add the egg yolks, buttermilk, olive oil and vanilla.
  • Beat them lightly with a fork and gradually add to the dry ingredients.
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until the stirrers begin to form soft peaks.
  • Add them twice to the other mixture and stir enough to combine.
  • Add the chocolate pieces and mix lightly to distribute evenly in the dough.
  • Heat the waffle iron and grease it with oil. Bake the waffles, taking into account the amount of mixture with the size of the plates.
  • Serve them warm, garnished with honey and melted butter.
