Necessary products
For the dough:
1 cup ground walnuts
3 eggs
1.5 teaspoons sugar
1.5 teaspoons flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1.5 teaspoons cold high-fat cream
vanilla
pinch of salt
For the glaze:
200 grams of apricot jam
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons rum or aromatic liqueur
Method of preparation:
Whip the cream until foamy, add the vanilla and a pinch of salt.
Then add the eggs, sugar, baking powder and flour. Beat once more and add the walnuts.
Pour the dough into a suitable form and bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.
Cut the finished loaf into two squares or bake two small cakes.
While the dessert cools, make the glaze.
Strain the apricot jam, mix it with the sugar and rum (liqueur). Bring the mixture to a simmer until it thickens and becomes sticky.
Coat one "tray" with the glaze and cover with the other. Then spread the jam on the sides and surface of the cake, sprinkle with walnuts.
