Necessary products

For decoration:

  • 1 cup walnuts


For the glaze:

  • 1 teaspoon of instant coffee
  • 40 milliliters of water
  • 230 grams of powdered sugar

 

For the dough:

  • 170 grams of flour
  • 150 grams of butter
  • 140 grams of brown sugar
  • 130 grams of walnuts
  • vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons of instant coffee
  • 80 milliliters of water

 

Method of preparation :

Dissolve the coffee in boiling water and allow to cool to warm.

 

Finely grind eighty grams of walnuts and chop the remaining 50 grams.

 

Beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Without stopping the process, pour the coffee.

 

Beat the butter separately and add it to the mixture of eggs and coffee.

Sift the flour together with the vanilla and baking powder, mix with the ground walnuts.

Make dough from dry and liquid combinations. Pour it into a round cake tin with a diameter of 20 centimeters.

 

Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 30-40 minutes.

 

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze. Dissolve the coffee in boiling water, add the powdered sugar and stir.

When the cake is baked, take it out of the oven and leave to cool. Once this is done, pour over the coffee glaze, garnish with the chopped nuts, wait for the coating to cool and enjoy the fragrant dessert.
