Learn how to cook "Walnut truffles with dried fruits and cognac". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 300 grams of dates (or other dried fruits of your choice)
  • 4 1/2 tea cups walnuts (raw) or almonds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons raisins
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 150 milliliters of cognac
  • cocoa, grated dark chocolate, ground walnuts or coconut shavings for rolling

Method of preparation :

Separate a glass-cup and a half of the walnuts, which you crush in bulk. Pour water over the remaining nuts and leave them in it for a few hours. Soak the raisins in the cognac. Strain the nuts and fruits from the water and alcohol, respectively.

After making the mixture for future truffles.

Using a blender, grind the dried fruit (remove the dates from the stones in advance) together with the soaked walnuts and cocoa. Add the coarsely ground nuts and shape the truffles from the resulting combination.

Roll them in grated dark chocolate, cocoa, finely ground nuts or coconut shavings. You can also use several coatings to enjoy different-tasting candies.

If desired, you could make the truffles with stuffing. Options for this are a combination of coconut shavings with honey (6 tablespoons of coconut shavings + 2 tablespoons of liquid honey), melted chocolate or your choice. Make a hole in the truffles, put the filling, close it with the "dough" and then roll in the desired coating.

Enjoy your meal!
