How To Cook Warm Chickpea Salad With Carrots, Garlic And Walnuts - Recipe

Required products :

  • 100 grams of chickpeas
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 5 nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • a pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Method of preparation :

Fill the chickpeas with water and let it stand for 6 hours, and it is good to change the water several times during this time. Then cook until ready, add salt during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Dry the walnuts in a pan and chop.

Chop the carrots into thin straws, cut the onion into circles.

Pour olive oil into a hot pan and fry the onion until golden. Then add the carrots and fry briefly (until soft).

Drain the water from the cooked chickpeas, add the grated garlic, spices and pour the hot vegetables on top. Close the container with a lid and leave for 10 minutes without stirring.

Finally, add the walnuts, season with lemon juice, you can also use chopped favorite green spices.

The salad is ready.
