How To Cook Warm Pea Garnish With Smoked Bacon And Leeks - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Warm garnish of peas with smoked bacon and leeks". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 250 grams of smoked bacon, cut into small strips
  • 1 leek, only the white part, finely chopped
  • 80 grams of unsalted butter
  • 500 grams of frozen peas
  • 60 milliliters of water
  • 1/4 iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method of preparation :

  • Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the bacon and bake for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the chopped leeks and butter, stir and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the peas and water and after the mixture boils, add the chopped iceberg lettuce.
  • Stir and cook until the liquid has almost evaporated.
  • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Serve the garnish of peas to roast meat, eggs or others to taste.
