Required products :

1 kg of watermelon (without peel)
5-6 teaspoons of water
250 grams of sugar

Method of preparation :

Use ripe and healthy watermelon, there should be no rotten or damaged areas. Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into small pieces.

In an enamel saucepan, boil the syrup: pour the water into the bowl, bring to a boil and then add the sugar. Leave the liquid on the hob until the sweet crystals melt.

 

Pour the watermelon into the boiling syrup and wait for everything to boil again, let the fruit cook for 5 minutes.

Then distribute in jars and close them. Turn upside down and wrap with a blanket. The compote should stand for 1-2 days, then store in a cool place.
