This is potato nirvana - crispy and baked, garnished with a creamy milk sauce. The perfect portion of fun,
reef- like potatoes make a special impression when served at the table. The ingredients are for 4 servings, and the time you need to
prepare them is no more than 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Required products :

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • olive oil or other fat
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/4 dried

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 220 degrees.

Make cross-sections on each potato lengthwise, cutting almost to the bottom of the potato, but not all the way.

Put the potatoes in a pan covered with baking paper and sprinkle well with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cuts begin to separate at a slight distance. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with olive oil again. Cook for another 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are fully cooked.

Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat, add onion and stir until soft. Add 1/2 cup of milk and continue to stir until it starts to boil. Mix the remaining 1/4 cup of milk with the flour in a small bowl and mix until smooth. Pour the mixture into the hot milk, stirring constantly until thickened, then remove from the heat. Add the cheese, a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted.

Serve the potatoes on a plate and garnish with the milk sauce. Season with paprika and thyme.

Have a good time!
