Required products :

400 - 500 grams of small or medium nectarines per jar with a capacity of 1.5 liters

1 liter of water

300 - 350 grams of sugar

Method of preparation :

Wash the fruits, use only those that are completely healthy. Put them in sterilized jars so that the nectarines fill a little more than half of the container. If you decide to divide the fruit in two and clean the stones, then the jars should be half full.

Pour hot water, cover with lids and leave for 15 minutes. Then drain the water in another container, add if necessary (the syrup is prepared in the proportions of 1 liter of water and 300 grams of sugar).

Make the syrup: when the water boils, stir in the sugar and cook for 5 minutes.

Pour the sweet liquid over the peaches and close the jars. Turn them back. When cool, store the compote in a cool, dry and dark place. Store no more than a year.

Enjoy your meal!
