How To Cook Wholemeal Apple Pie With Butter And Cinnamon - Recipe

Required products :

For the bark :

  • 1/2 teaspoon butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon + 2 tablespoons wholemeal flour

For the apple filling :

  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons wholemeal flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 1/2 tea cups of apples, cut into small cubes

For the crumbly topping :

  • 1/2 cup wholemeal flour
  • 1/3 tea cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup fine oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

For garnish :

  • homemade caramel sauce

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and prepare a round pan measuring approximately 30 centimeters.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla, cinnamon, salt and 1/2 teaspoon of the flour. Stir with a wooden spoon just enough to mix.
  • Add the remaining flour and mix again briefly.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and press it with your palms to the bottom and walls to form an oily crust.
  • In another bowl, mix the ingredients of the apple filling, mix well and pour over the unbaked peel.
  • In a third bowl, mix the ingredients of the crumbly topping, mix well and sprinkle the apple mixture evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow the apple pizza to cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with homemade caramel sauce, ice cream or anything else of your choice.
