Required products :

  • 75 grams of cold butter, cut into small cubes
  • 175 grams of wholemeal flour
  • 115 grams of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 75 grams of fine oatmeal
  • 25 grams of oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 80 grams of liquid honey
  • 275 milliliters of buttermilk (or more if needed)
  • white sesame and oatmeal for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

  • Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add the butter and rub it in with your fingers.
  • Add the oats and sugar and mix well.
  • Mix the buttermilk and honey and add them to the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon.
  • Pour the dough into a pre-greased bread pan.
  • Sprinkle with oats and sesame seeds and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
  • Wait 10 minutes before removing the bread on a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Cut and serve with honey, cheese or other of your choice.
