How To Cook Wholemeal Calzone With Spinach, Cheese And Tomatoes - Recipe

Necessary products:

 

  • 400 grams of wholemeal flour
  • 5 grams of dry yeast
  • 200 milliliters of water
  • 30 grams of tahini
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 7 grams of salt

 

for the stuffing

 

  • 300 grams of fresh spinach
  • 300 grams of cherry tomatoes
  • 500 grams of old onions
  • 25 grams of olive oil
  • 100 grams of pitted olives
  • 80 grams of cheese
  • oregano to taste
  • lubricating oil
  • sesame seeds for sprinkling

 

Method of preparation:

 

In a bowl sift the flour, add salt and yeast. Mix the water with the tahini, stir and pour in the olive oil. Combine the mixtures and make a dough. Wait for it to rise. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a pan and caramelize the finely chopped onion.

Drain and set aside. Cut the spinach and stew it in the fat. Add the halved tomatoes, olives and cheese. Stir the mixture, season with oregano and cool. Divide the dough into two parts, roll out the tops, garnish one side with the caramelized onions and add some of the filling.

 

Fold the ends in half. Use your fingers to press them to seal.

 

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, grease the pizzas with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cover a pan with a sheet of parchment, put the calzone on top and bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve the pizzas warm, garnished with fresh spices of your choice.
