How To Cook Wholemeal Casserole With Blueberries And Almonds - Recipe

Choose your favorite baking dish or prepare this healthy recipe for breakfast with blueberries and almonds in a saucepan. Serve with maple syrup or honey for more sweetness.

Required products :

  • 450 grams of wholemeal bread, cut into cubes
  • 3 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 tea cup sliced ​​almonds
  • maple syrup for serving

Method of preparation :

Grease the bottom and sides of the pan and spread the bread and blueberries evenly in the bowl.

Beat the eggs together with the milk, butter, brown sugar, ginger, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Pour the mixture over the bread and blueberries and sprinkle with almonds. Cover the pan with greased aluminum foil.

Place a tray or other on the foil to press the mixture and store in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours (up to 1 day maximum).

Turn the oven to 180 degrees. Remove the pan from the refrigerator, remove the pan with which you pressed the mixture, and leave at room temperature until the oven heats up.

Bake the dish covered with foil for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake until golden (another 20-25 minutes). Leave the casserole to stand for 10 minutes, cut it and serve with maple syrup.
