How To Cook Wholemeal Pizza In A Pan With Sausage And Kale - Recipe

The hot cast iron skillet turns the pizza dough into a crunchy delight (similar to focaccia). Prepare this fragrant and delicious pizza with sausage and green kale for your children, knowing that this dish contributes to bone health.

Required products :

  • 3 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 pieces of sausage, cut into small slices
  • 450-500 grams of wholemeal pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 6 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella

Method of preparation:

Place a cast iron skillet with a diameter of 30 cm in the oven and heat to 260 degrees.

Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a small pan over medium heat and add the sausage. Stir it from time to time with a wooden spoon until it turns pink.

Put the kale in a medium bowl and season with 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

Roll out the dough into a circle with a diameter of about 30 centimeters. Remove the cast iron skillet from the oven and sprinkle with cornflour. Carefully place the spread dough in the pan.

Spread with tomato sauce, leaving 2-3 centimeters at the edges of the pizza without sauce. Garnish with sausage, kale and mozzarella. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 teaspoon of olive oil and put the pizza to bake in the oven until it starts to brown or for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
