We present you an easy and tasty healthy bread with rosemary aroma, crispy crust and soft inside. It does not require great cooking skills, and the result is more than satisfactory.

Required products :

  • 3 tea cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 3/4 tea cups white flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons mix of yogurt and milk for spreading
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary to sprinkle

Method of preparation :

Pour both types of flour into a large bowl, add soda, salt and stir. Cut rosemary and add 2 tablespoons of it to the flour. Distribute evenly with your hands and make a well in the center of the bowl.

Mix together the fresh and yoghurt in a bowl (set aside 3 tablespoons at the bottom). Gradually pour the liquid mixture into the well and mix the dough with your free hand.

Knead your hands and knead the dough until it forms a ball.

Transfer the dough to a tray lined with parchment paper. Use a knife to cut it down, making a cross. Do not move the pieces, let them stay close to each other to form bread when baking.

Spread with the milk mixture and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of rosemary.

Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 25 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170 degrees and bake for another 25 minutes.

To find out that the bread is ready, tap the crust, if it sounds hollow, then it is ready. Allow it to cool on a wire rack.
