How To Cook Wholemeal Waffles With Blueberry Jam And Cream - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Wholemeal waffles with blueberry jam and cream". Delicious recipe.

Once you try the rich and very pleasant taste that yeast gives to these whole grain waffles, you will never want to go back to the usual classic recipe. You can make waffles for the weekdays with the remaining dough, if any.

Necessary products:

  • 2 and 3/4 tea cups low-fat milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces or coconut oil
  • 3 tea cups wholemeal flour
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet of dry yeast (about 2 and 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

for garnish:

  • blueberry jam
  • cream

Method of preparation:

Heat the milk and butter (or coconut oil) in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter is melted, then allow to cool to room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Mix the flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl.

Beat the eggs and vanilla in the milk mixture until homogeneous. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones and beat until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours and up to 3 days.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and mix gently. Pour about 1/2 cup of waffle dough into a preheated waffle iron and bake according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Serve and garnish with blueberry jam and cream or your favorite flavors.

* Waffle dough can be frozen for up to 3 months and thawed before use.

Have a good time!
