Required products :

300 grams of carrots

100 grams of onions

300 grams of dry peas

30 milliliters of oil

2 bay leaves

1 teaspoon dried parsley

6 grains of allspice

3 cloves garlic

1 teaspoon salt

Method of preparation :

Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Stew these products in the oil until soft.

Pour 1.5 liters of water over the peas, add the bay leaves, salt, allspice and bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the temperature to medium, remove the foam. When the peas are soft, remove the bay leaves and add the stewed carrots and onions. If foam still forms, remove it. Let the soup boil for another 7 - 10 minutes. If necessary, add water and try to determine if more salt is needed.

Finally, add the garlic (cut into pieces) and dried parsley. Turn off the heat, close the pan with a lid and let the soup absorb the aromas (about 5 minutes).

You can serve with pieces of bacon and croutons.

Enjoy your meal!
