Do you think healthy eating is boring and tasteless? Think again ...

Experts have created an appetizing menu that includes superfoods that provide various and valuable health benefits.

The recommendations were made by scientists from the independent British research company Leatherhead.

Healthy ingredients on the menu include omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and fish oil , which are helpful in lowering "bad" cholesterol, as well as folate found in high-fiber, high- grain breads . The B vitamin reduces the risk of developing neural tube defects, malformations of the brain and spinal cord.

What other foods do experts recommend we eat more often:

  • Terrine with fresh, smoked salmon , which contains omega-3 and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The ingredients are good for the arteries, heart and brain.

  • Mix of fresh green salads with a dressing of cold pressed olive oil . The products help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

  • Chicken dish with lentils and mixed vegetables is a particularly nutritious main meal. The protein in chicken helps increase muscle mass, and the pantothenic acid in lentils helps reduce fatigue and improve mental performance.

  • For dessert recommended lactic acid dessert , topped with nuts. The products help digestion, teeth and control blood sugar. It has been proven that consuming 30 g of walnuts a day improves the elasticity of blood vessels. Nuts are also extremely good for the brain. The inclusion of guar gum (a polysaccharide derived from the guar plant) in dessert helps maintain normal cholesterol, while lactulose helps speed up intestinal transit.

The menu also contains a sports drink , which, according to scientists, improves the results of physical activity. It should include micronutrients such as biotin, calcium, zinc, chromium, copper, iron, potassium, selenium and magnesium.

Biotin supports metabolism, nervous system, skin and hair, and calcium - the function of muscles and bones.
