Freezing tomatoes for the winter at home

Summer tomatoes are the most delicious and fragrant, everyone likes them. And in winter, we often remember their taste by buying almost tasteless, odorless tomatoes in supermarkets. Sometimes we even put off preparing some dishes, thinking: “I’ll cook it when delicious ground tomatoes appear on the market.” But it is not all that bad.

Fresh summer and autumn tomatoes can be frozen and then enjoyed in winter. You can freeze tomatoes in slices to make pizza later. Tomatoes are also frozen in the form of mashed potatoes to make a delicious sauce, tomato soup, tomato sauce.

To taste, dishes with properly frozen tomatoes will not differ in any way from those prepared in summer from fresh tomatoes. Remember that it is most convenient to freeze tomatoes in portions, that is, put as many vegetables in one bag as you need to prepare one dish.
