Dark chocolate not only does not contribute to the rise of cholesterol, guilty of our wide waist and plaques in the arteries, and vice versa. Dark chocolate is generally lower in animal fat, which makes it more useful than milk. However, the flavonoids we get because of its high cocoa content contribute to something more - according to experts, they even reduce bad cholesterol and blood pressure.
The beneficial effect of eating chocolate does not only come from the pleasure we feel when we taste it in our mouths. The same flavonoids increase serotonin and endorphin levels , which act as a life-giving refreshing shower for brain cells. But this is also known.
A current study by the Institute for Dietary Nutrition and Health in Mainz, Germany, shows that chocolate contains a cocktail of bioactive ingredients that accelerate weight loss. The team found this in the observation of three groups of volunteers, one of whom is on a low-carbohydrate diet, the other is on the same diet, but their menu includes 42 grams of 80 percent chocolate per day and of course, the third is a control. After three weeks, the researchers literally could not believe their eyes when reporting the results - it turned out that 10% more than the group of low-carbohydrate diets lost weight those who ate a piece of black cocoa temptation !
So far, the benefits of chocolatehowever, this group of lucky people did not end there. They also enjoyed better sleep and other indicators of good quality of life . They were also shown to have lower blood cholesterol levels.
Scientists are still unaware of the mechanisms by which cocoa ingredients work to produce this slimming effect. According to lead researcher Johannes Bohanon, this could be some subtle mechanism related to the reward system in the brain, or it could just be about metabolism.
So contrary to other weight loss tips, treat yourself to a bite of dark chocolate with over 80% cocoa content while on a low carb diet and wait. You need only two weeks , to compare the results with the unbelievers!
