If You Want To Lose Weight, Exercise Before Eating

Fasting workouts are significantly more effective in reducing body weight and reducing subcutaneous fat ...

An international team of scientists has proven that fasting exercise is significantly more effective in reducing body weight and reducing subcutaneous fat, according to the Associated Press.

Although many athletes prefer to eat a lot before training, research shows that active exercise on an empty stomach melts excess weight faster and more efficiently.

The researchers concluded that cyclists who exercised without eating before exercise burned significantly more calories.

The authors of the study explain that during exercise, muscles first absorb carbohydrates as the easiest and fastest source of energy. In case a person has not eaten before training, the body resorts to backup energy sources, namely subcutaneous fat.

"When you exercise on an empty stomach, adrenaline rises and insulin drops," said Peter Espel, a professor of sports physiology at the University of Leuven in Belgium. "This ratio predisposes muscles to break down more fatty acids."

Experts recommend that those who want to lose weight, exercise before meals. They warn that in order for the training to be really effective, care must be taken with the quantity and quality of the food then taken.
