Lemon Buttermilk With Powdered Sugar

Necessary products :

  • 160 grams of butter 
  • 125 grams of sugar (or powdered sugar) 
  • 260 grams of flour and the rind of 2 lemons 
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 
  • 20 grams of starch (preferably corn) 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and powdered sugar for rolling

 

Preparation :


Beat the butter with the sugar and the grated lemon peel. Add the lemon juice and stir.
Mix the flour with the starch and salt, add the sweetened lemon oil and knead the dough. Divide it into two parts and wrap each in plastic wrap, forming rolls. Put them in the fridge for an hour (you can leave them overnight).
When you take them out, cut them into circles about 5-7 millimeters thick and arrange them in a tray whose bottom you have covered with parchment. Arrange the cakes at a distance of 2-3 centimeters from each other.
Bake the buttermilk in a preheated oven to 175 degrees for about 10-12 minutes.
Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
