Ureaplasmosis is an infectious disease caused by a microorganism called ureaplasma that is sexually transmitted.
Ureaplasma infection can cause: urethritis, pyelonephritis , cystitis, kidney stones, infectious arthritis, wound infections, premature birth, bacteremia, pneumonia, meningitis.
The newborn can become infected by contact with vaginal secretions during birth. Although it rarely causes problems in healthy full-term babies, the infection in premature babies or low birth weight babies can cause congenital pneumonia, bacteremia, meningitis.
Nutrition
Nutrition is particularly important, although there is no set diet to follow. It is important to adhere to a rationally selected menu and a healthy lifestyle in general.
Consumption of products that are contraindicated when taking antibiotics for the treatment of ureaplasmosis should be limited.
Food aims to increase the body's defenses. It needs to contain the necessary amounts of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, useful vitamins and trace elements. Such products are:
- porridge (oat, buckwheat), brown rice;
- fresh vegetables in the form of salads;
- seafood;
- dairy products (especially goat's milk and natural yogurt);
- chicken meat (skinless breasts);
- fish (mackerel, salmon);
- liver;
- freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices;

- vegetable fats (especially olive oil), melted and butter in cooking;

- vegetables - broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, pumpkin, carrots, zucchini, seaweed,
- garlic, onions, yellow and red sweet peppers, avocados, leafy vegetables;
- honey;
- sauces - tomato, cream, milk-egg, mushroom, meat;
- spices in limited quantities - turmeric, rosemary, cinnamon, oregano, thyme, hot pepper,
- ginger;
- nuts - walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts and pecans, macadamia nuts;
- black chocolate;
- seeds - sesame, flax;
- hot drinks - tea, cocoa, natural coffee with milk, rosehip decoction.
First breakfast:
- omelette with grated yellow cheese / cheese;
- apple and fresh cabbage salad seasoned with sour cream;
- oatmeal made with low-fat milk or cottage cheese and natural yoghurt with
- fruits;
- tea.
Second breakfast:
- tomato juice;
- sandwich with yellow cheese or cheese.
