Red meat is rich in selenium, the deficiency of which is associated with problematic conception.

The nutrients found in red meat can play an important role in fertility and overall health in men and women planning a pregnancy , experts say.
 
Red meat is often associated with a faithful helper for couples who have decided to have a child. However, there is now scientific evidence to support these claims, say experts from The Meat Advisory Panel - a group of health professionals who provide independent and objective information about red meat.
 
A number of studies have found selenium deficiency in some reproductive problems such as infertility in both men and women, miscarriage , preeclampsia, fetal growth retardation, premature birth, gestational diabetes and obstetric cholestasis.
 
Pork is a great source of selenium, and elevated levels in adults can help normal reproduction . 
 
When it comes to conception and fertility, one of the important vitamins is vitamin B6 , as it contributes to normal hormonal activity. It is also found in red meat. The recommendation of the specialists is to consume up to 500 g of cooked red meat per week, which is equal to 4-5 meat dishes. These include pork, beef, lamb, ham and bacon.
 
 
Among the foods that can help male fertility are fresh fruits. They increase the levels of vitamin C , improve the potency and quality of sperm.
 
Fish contains essential fatty acids that improve blood circulation in the reproductive system and also increase sperm quality . 
 
Useful for women are different types of nuts, including almonds and walnuts are rich in vitamin E . It increases libido and at the same time prevents miscarriage .
