Children who consume sugar on a daily basis are more likely to be violent in adulthood. A group of British scientists came to this conclusion, the BBC reported.

The results, which are based on a study covering a group of 17,500 people, were published in the British Journal of Psychiatry.
According to British researchers, 69% of participants who behaved violently and aggressively in adulthood, in their childhood consumed sweets and almost every day.

The authors of the study found that regardless of external factors such as parental behavior, living environment, education, the relationship between aggression and sweet things remains unchanged.

Scientists attribute these data to the fact that confectionery and chocolate can lead to a type of addiction, which in adulthood can be replaced by addiction to certain drugs, and this reinforces aggressive and antisocial behavior.
