A study by Swedish scientists shows that regular consumption of fish increases intelligence. Based on research, doctors have linked the consumption of fish in sufficient quantities in young people with a higher IQ.
Kel Thoren, who conducted the study at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, said a clear link had been found between frequent fish consumption and higher IQs among teenagers. The study, published in the pediatric journal Acta Pediatrics, analyzed IQs, the ability to express and orient in space of 3,972 Swedes at the age of 15 in 2000 and once again three years later. 15-year-old boys who ate fish at least once a week had an average of 7% higher scores on IQ tests three years later, and those who ate fish more than once a week had a 12% higher score. -high results showed the results of the study.
Maria Aberg, co-author of the study, concludes that there is a clear link between regular consumption of fish at age 15 and improvement in intellectual capacity at age 18.
