Strange Ways To Lose Weight

You will lose weight if you eat from a blue, small plate, with your non-dominant hand, in complete silence, looking in the mirror, in skinny jeans, sniffing a banana.

You will lose weight if you eat from a blue, small plate, with your non-dominant hand, in complete silence, looking in the mirror, in skinny jeans, sniffing a banana.

There are unconventional ways to lose weight that look strange, but they really work.

Eat with your NON-primary (NON-dominant) hand

Mindlessly chewing something while watching TV or movies contributes to rapid weight gain. If you throw food into your mouth with your non-main hand (if you are right-handed, eat with your left hand), you will eat much less.

Look in the mirror

Since childhood, we have been taught that looking in the mirror while eating is a bad omen. But it turns out that if you look in the mirror while eating, you can lose weight. Maybe because a person sees from the outside how he eats high-calorie food and stops himself.

Surround yourself with blue

Use blue plates, napkins, tablecloths, decorate the kitchen in blue-blue colors. People eat 30 percent less if there is a lot of blue around them. Maybe because people subconsciously associate the color blue with moldy and unusable food, so they eat less. It is believed that red and yellow colors stimulate the appetite, which is why they are often used in the decoration of restaurants and cafes.

Use your sense of smell

If you regularly smell the aromas of banana, green apple or peppermint, you can lose weight. Research was conducted, the experimental group sniffed the aromas of banana, apple or peppermint for 6 months. Participants in the experiment lost 13-18 kg, depending on how often they smelled the fragrances. Most likely, a person's brain falls into the illusion that a person has eaten something, but in reality there is none, which is why weight loss occurs.

Eat in silence

Have you noticed that the more noise around you, the faster you eat? The human brain does not understand whether a person is full or not, when food quickly enters the body against the background of distracting sounds. That is why nutritionists advise not to eat in front of the TV or computer, because if a person is not focused on food, then after a couple of hours he feels hunger again.

Wear tight clothing

When we have a couple of extra kilograms, we choose loose clothes, and on a subconscious level we give ourselves the opportunity to gain a little more weight. In fact, you should choose clothes that are binding and tight, so that the clothes remind you that you have enough to eat.

Toothpaste to help

Instead of eating a delicious dessert after the main meal, brush your teeth with menthol toothpaste. The menthol taste signals the brain that the meal is complete, helping to control appetite.

Plus, the taste of menthol does not mix well with other flavors, and the dessert is not tasty after toothpaste.

Follow the 2 out of 3 rule

The "2 out of 3" rule allows you to allow yourself to eat only 2 of the usual products - bread, cocktail, dessert. If you ate only 2 prohibited products, then this will be enough to avoid being tempted by the third. Thanks to which you lose weight.

Sparkling water

Drink a glass of carbonated drink before eating, but not sweet water or champagne. Ordinary carbonated water causes a feeling of satiety even before starting to eat. Even ordinary water without gas contributes to quick saturation, reducing the portion.

Hard-to-find food

If you want chips or popcorn, feel free to use unshelled, unsalted pistachios. You eat less because you have to make an effort before eating them. Eat an orange, it also needs to be peeled, which also requires effort, so you eat less.

Don't go to the gym to lose weight

If you hate sports simulators, force yourself by visiting the gym, then allow yourself to stop these executions. Listen to yourself, maybe you prefer walking or gardening. These types of activity help burn calories, and will benefit your weight loss more because they bring you pleasure.

Eat what you like

If you like to eat pizza, then eat it, just change the fatty cheese to low-fat. If your weakness is burritos, then don't deny yourself either, just fill it with low-fat sour cream.

Eat from small plates

Small plates create the illusion that you eat food as usual, but in fact less. Eat from small plates, with small spoons, drink from small cups, so that you enjoy food, only in smaller quantities, and your body is satisfied.

Eat chocolate

When you want something sweet, eat dark chocolate. A portion of dark chocolate satisfies the desire to eat something sweet, quenches the feeling of hunger. Also, black chocolate protects the cardiovascular system, reducing feelings of restlessness and susceptibility to stress.

Eat with chopsticks

Chopsticks for Chinese food do not allow you to eat quickly, unlike a fork and a knife. And if you eat chopsticks with your non-main hand, then the process of saturation occurs even faster, and the amount of food eaten decreases.

Get rid of junk food

Clean the kitchen of unhealthy food that is difficult to ignore: chips, sweets, fatty snacks. Instead of junk food, buy fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and dried fruits.

Eat desserts for breakfast

If you like cakes, tarts and other sweets, then eat them in the morning.

Cut food before eating

Cut food into small pieces, this creates the illusion that there is more food on the plate.
