When feeding after tetanus, liquid foods, broths, soups, porridges are consumed.
Tetanus is a disease of acute infectious nature that affects the nervous system. It can affect both humans and animals.
Because tetanus impairs swallowing, feeding is done with a tube. When switching to a normal natural food intake, it is necessary to first make it liquid, then to cut the products into small pieces so that the patient does not have difficulty chewing and does not expend unnecessary energy for this.
Give broths, light soups, juices, compotes, decoctions, dairy products, vegetable and fruit purees, sour. Liquid porridges (oatmeal, semolina) are also suitable. All of them give the body the necessary amount of fluids, of which there is a shortage during the disease, which is due to increased sweating. It also improves digestion.
Nutrition should be complete, caloric, rich enough in vitamins and minerals for the body to fight exhaustion.
Tetanus is treated only under medical supervision, and folk remedies would help alleviate the course of the disease and have a calming effect.
In general, dry food is considered extremely dangerous in this disease, as the body's metabolic processes are disturbed, bowel movements are difficult, there may be heaviness in the stomach, bloating, constipation. All this is highly undesirable in an already weakened body, which has accumulated a lot of toxins.
