Two Glasses Of Water Before Meals Melt The Extra Pounds

Maintaining the water-salt balance in the body is necessary not only to reduce excess weight, but also to maintain weight ...

The results of a new study show that drinking two glasses of water before each meal can help reduce weight and lose weight.

According to the authors of the study, water intake before meals reduces calorie intake by 75-90 for each of the meals.

The findings are based on a study of 48 volunteers between the ages of 55 and 75. Study participants were divided into two groups, those in the first drank two glasses of water before each meal, and those in the second did not drink fluids immediately before a meal. Throughout the study, all participants followed a low-calorie diet.

After a 3-month period, it was found that participants who drank water before each meal lost about 7 kg and the rest - by 5 kg.

The authors of the study are adamant that maintaining the water-salt balance in the body is necessary not only to reduce excess weight, but also to maintain weight.

Water creates a feeling of fullness in the stomach, which contributes to the ingestion of smaller amounts of food and, consequently, lower caloric intake.

Experts remind that only water has a similar effect, as other drinks, especially carbonated or sweetened with sugar and fructose, are high in calories and their consumption is not recommended for people with weight problems.
