Regular water intake can reduce the severity of headaches and migraines . Researchers have found that drinking approximately 7 glasses of water a day is enough to relieve pain and improve the quality of life of people who often suffer from headaches.

Researchers at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands are studying more than 100 patients who have regular mild or severe headaches . Half of the patients were advised to drink 1.5 liters of water daily for three months. At the end of the study, patients completed a questionnaire. The results show that consuming more water has had a positive effect.

According to researchers, drinking more water relieves headaches in some patients. They claim that regular intake of enough water hydrates the body and as a result people feel better than if they did not drink enough fluids .

When a person gets a feeling of tightness in the head, it is much easier to drink water than to resort to other methods. Water is a natural alternative as there are no side effects . On the other hand, painkillers can only mask the symptoms, and if taken over a long period of time and in large quantities, can cause other conditions.

There are different types of headaches. Sinus headaches can be experienced after a cold, for example. There is also a headache caused by a hormonal imbalance. In some cases, they are even accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, etc. Chronic headaches can be the result of overwork, stress , fatigue and depression. When the headache is caused by fatigue, which is actually a side effect of dehydration, then drinking water is the ideal way to relieve the condition. Water can help improve all of these headaches.

In addition to water, you can drink other liquids during the day such as fresh juices , soups and foods rich in water. However, water consumption is considered to be the best way to quickly hydrate the body.
