We are preparing bread for tacos

The basis of the basics is bread. Shop tortillas are also suitable , but homemade wheat bread will always be tastier. That's right, wheat, not corn, like in Mexico. It is easier to find high-quality wheat flour here, and the taste of the tortilla largely depends on it .

We are preparing wheat tortillas For 7 pieces of homemade bread you will need:
  • 320 g of flour.

  • 50 g of butter.

  • ½ tsp.

  • 170-200 ml of warm water.

Mix cold butter with flour and salt - in a food processor or by hand, crushing the butter. Grind to crumbs. Add warm water (temperature about 60 degrees). Next, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes so that it becomes soft, elastic and does not stick to your hands.

Divide the dough into 7 pieces - these are the future loaves. Cover them with a towel or cling film and let them rest for 10-15 minutes at room temperature. The dough will be soft and easy to shape.

Roll out each ball very thinly with a rolling pin on a floured surface. Put the bread on a well-heated pan without oil and fry on high heat until bubbles start to appear on the tortilla - about 30-40 seconds. The basis for the future is ready .

 

We are preparing chicken tacos

  • Any parts of the chicken.

  • Cilantro to taste.

  • Iceberg salad to taste.

For the sauce 1
  • Lime sour cream - to taste (you need to mix sour cream with lime and add grated lime peel).

For sauce 2 - salsa roja
  • 800 g of canned tomatoes.

  • ½ onion.

  • 2 cloves of garlic.

  • 1 jalapeño pepper.

  • ½ tsp. coriander

  • ½ tsp. cumin

  • ½ lime.

  • Salt to taste.

  • A pinch of sugar.

Marinate the chicken in soy sauce, paprika and cilantro for half an hour, then fry.

To prepare the salsa roja sauce, beat all the ingredients in a blender.

Breads bought or prepared with your own hands according to a previous recipe are suitable.

We collect tacos . Spread the lime sour cream on the tortilla . Then - a leaf of iceberg lettuce. On top - chicken, pour salsa roja sauce over it. Add cilantro at the end.

 

We are preparing shrimp tacos

  • 300 g of peeled shrimps.

  • Iceberg salad to taste.

  • Cilantro to taste.

  • Lime sour cream to taste (according to the previous recipe).

For the mango sauce
  • 1 mango (not overripe, so that it can be cut neatly).

  • ½ red onion.

  • ½ lime or lemon.

  • 2 sprigs of parsley.

  • 2 sprigs of mint.

  • Chili pepper to taste.

  • Salt to taste.

In advance, marinate the shrimp in your favorite spices (for example, tarragon, cumin - they are very suitable). Fry it.

Prepare the sauce. Cut the mango and red onion into small cubes. Chop the greens. Squeeze the juice from half a lime. If desired, take and grind chili pepper. Mix all the ingredients, add salt.

We collect tacos . Spread lime sour cream on the tortilla. Add shrimp, chopped iceberg lettuce, pour mango sauce. Garnish the taco with cilantro.

 

We are preparing pork tacos

  • 300 g of pork breast.

  • Garlic to taste.

  • Soy sauce to taste.

  • Paprika to taste.

  • Thyme to taste.

  • Onions to taste.

  • Cayenne pepper to taste.

  • Chili powder to taste.

  • 300 ml of chicken broth (to cover the brisket).

  • A few apples.

  • Kimchi sauce (mayonnaise mixed with kimchi sauce) to taste.

  • ½ pineapple.

  • White onion to taste.

  • Cilantro to taste.

Marinate the pork in garlic, soy sauce, onion, cayenne pepper and chili for 6 hours. Then fry on all sides and place in a heat-resistant form.

Pour chicken broth over the pork, add apples and simmer at 180 degrees for 3 hours. Cool down. Cut the meat into small cubes, fry each piece before placing it on the tacos .

Cut the pineapple into cubes of 0.5 centimeters.

We collect tacos . Smear the tortilla with kimchi sauce, lay out a fried piece of pork belly, add pineapple, chopped white onion and cilantro.
